This case study examines the strategic improvements made to research existing translation chat apps that suffer from issues such as inaccurate translations, complex user interfaces, and limited language support, which limits accessibility for individuals who need it the most.
Challenges
The primary challenge is that existing translation chat apps suffer from issues such as inaccurate translations, complex user interfaces, and limited language support, which limits accessibility for individuals who need it the most. As a result, people with language barriers experience frustration, confusion, and a lack of confidence in their ability to communicate effectively. A solution is needed to design a translation chat app that prioritizes accessibility, providing an effective and seamless way to communicate across language barriers for everyone.
Design Solution
A solution is needed to design a translation chat app that prioritizes accessibility, providing an effective and seamless way to communicate across language barriers for everyone. We wanted to give users the ability to communicate with anyone in the world, or communicate.
Futhermore, we wanted to simplify the interface as much as possible. Key things like the interface of the app will be simplified to make it more user-friendly and easy to navigate, use a clear and consistent visual hierarchy, and reduce the number of steps required to complete a translation.
Outcomes
Based on various feedback from 4 other team members + stakeholder feedback, a simple and intuitive interface that's easy to use, with clear and understandable icons and labels. Use colors and typography that are easy on the eyes, and ensure that the interface is accessible to users with different abilities.
